Backround: Local Ties
A Class of 88’ Liberty High School Graduate. Nemo is the Son of Eastsiders, who both came up from the south in the Great Migration of southern blacks in the Late 40’s and 50’s. Sr. served this country for 20 yrs in the U.S. Navy, ending his service as Chief Petty Officer. After service Sr brought his family back to the Valley where he and his father Marshal, have Owned own Tire Company with the Last name Haire on it since the 1960’s here in the Valley. Mom , is herself and Officer of Love and Sacrifice. Both her parents passing when she was younger than 5, her older sisters , who had married and moved north with their husbands for the work avaliable for Blacks in the Steel Mills, took her in and raised her with her nieces and nephews on the Eastside in the Kimmel Brooks. He refers to her as Officer in Love and Sacrifice, because she picked him , an orphan child born in Miami Florida, when she lived in Panama while Sr. was serving in the Canal Zone. These 2 even after finding out Mom was with their own child 7mo pregnant
“…still adopted me. They took me in their home, gave me their name, a family to call my own. Saying all that to say , I HAVE BEEN BLESSED, I am THANKFUL. I AM a Believer. I was raised to KNOW WHO YOU ARE. Be My Own Man. KNOW WHO YOU ARE. To DO RIGHT , Stand Up for Myself and Whats Right , Not Whats Popular. LEAD, DON’T FOLLOW! I was taught life’s gonna come at you at light speed and just when you think you got it, its gonna knock you on your ass! GET UP, and dont let the same thing keep you down. LIVE. LEARN. LOVE. Remember thats its Satans plan to trip you up and Gods WORD that LIFTS YOU UP Stand up In HIS NAME For His Name and the Glory promised to those that Trust in Salvation That God’s got a plan for me, my obligation is to Let him LEAD the way.”
